Growing up in our society, often a form of disciplinary measure was to be told to go sit in the corner - be isolated from others, or we were commanded to sit still and not speak etc. Though good and necessary at the time, this actually taught us to isolate ourselves and to avoid contact when we had done something wrong and to not discuss it.
As adults, we can still, subconsciously look at things this way.

This however, is the opposite of how God wants us to act. Instead of ignoring or avoiding Him, he wants us to run to Him, even when we do things wrong. He wants us to talk to Him about it and receive His love and forgiveness, wisdom and guidance concerning whatever we are facing.
God is a God of Reconciliations. Amen!

It's true - togetherness, not separation. Hiding like Adam and Eve rather than turning and seeking Him. Not many are willing to discuss with anyone when they've done wrong or to admit a weakness or that something is wrong with their perfect world.
